AMNESIA
By
Michael Edwin Q.
Ten years ago, I was bowling with my brother-in-law, Junior
He’s had a few too many beers and wasn’t watching what he was doing.
He slipped and hit his head with his bowling ball.
He didn’t know who I was. He didn’t even know his own name.
I went to call for an ambulance; but when I got back, he was gone.
Ten years later, he comes walking in the house at dinner time.
His memory had returned.
After a tearful greeting, his wife goes to the phone and starts calling
friends.
Junior says, “What are you doing?”
I’m calling everybody. I want them to come right over. We’ll have a big
party for you.”
“Oh, no, you don’t.! Not on my bowling night!”
